The world of Speciality Coffee has exploded over the last few years; one of the most exciting trends is how Baristas and cafés are getting involved, learning new skills and taking more ownership of their coffee offering.

Its pretty easy to get started as a barista, the opportunity to learn and perfect cupping and roasting skills are harder to come across. No longer! At Campus, we have created an academy and full production small batch roastery where you can come to learn the basics, top up existing skills or hire to start producing coffee for yourself.

Read on for more about Campus at Union Hand-Roasted Coffee and the services we can offer you from roasting training to roasting facility hire and green coffee supply.

Campus is the perfect place to learn how to roast coffee with the help of our qualified trainers. Our facilities include a Giesen 1Kg drum roaster, perfect for learning all the theory upon – without spending lots of money on large batches of coffee. From there you can take roasts into our cupping lab, get feedback and when confident scale up onto our Giesen 15Kg drum roaster and get started for yourself.

We currently offer two coffee roasting training modules along with the opportunity to book in for self-practice sessions on our 1Kg when you can build upon and perfect the skills taught in the courses.
