There are currently 3 producers that provide the coffees that make up our Foundation Blend.

Firstly the Esquipulas co-operative in Huehuetenango, Guatemala, has conditions about as perfect as you can get for growing speciality coffee; a high altitude of over 1,500 MASL, fertile soil, and glorious sunshine. We’ve been working with the Esquipulas co-operative since 2009 and in that time they have grown, now working with more than 230 smallholder farmers.

The Yayu Wild Forest is one of the last and most important remaining mountain forest fragments for the preservation of wild populations of Arabica Coffee in the world. This natural landscape, high up in the hills of Ethiopia, is a hotspot for biodiversity and is a significant conservation zone.

The consistent weather conditions at Gajah Mountain, an area on the island of Sumatra in the province of Aceh, means that Sumatra has almost a year-round harvest season, with fresh coffee available almost all year. We have been working in a specific micro-region Gajah Mountain and the farmers we work with are keen to let the world know they produce the best coffee.
