ORDER DESPATCH LATEST

DESPATCHING ON TIME

Whilst we are experiencing a high volume of orders we are currently despatching on time and at the normal rate.

We are working as fast as we can to get your order out to you. If you haven’t yet had an order despatch confirmation and you placed your order more than a week ago, please get in touch here.

Limited Range Available

Due to the demands on our roasters for such high volumes of coffee we took the decision to limit the range of coffees available to the only most popular temporarily (and cover the widest variation of styles, brew methods and tastes). This is to allow us to catch up on existing orders and better cope with volumes which are limited by the amount of roasts we can do in a day.

If you have already placed an order containing a coffee that is now listed as out of stock we will still roast and despatch it, as per the information above on despatch times.

For anyone else, we're really sorry for the inconvenience and hope you find another suitable coffee to enjoy.

This is a temporary measure and as soon as we are back on track with our order despatch we will re-list them for sale.

Please keep reviewing this page for further updates and details.

Delivery and Courier Latest

As you might expect our couriers are seeing extraordinary volumes coupled with increased need for social distancing on delivery. As such, in many cases their services are changing to accommodate these challenges.

We use two couriers for delivery; Royal Mail (Tracked 24 and 48) and DPD (next day), details of which service we use can be found on our delivery page here.

Royal Mail delivery times and backlog can vary depending on your region. Click here to see your local sorting office's latest status.

To keep fully up to date with their latest situations you can find out more on their websites:

    Royal Mail Delays

Customers are reporting delays of up to 10 days at certain locations currently. Please refer to the tracking information on your order for the status, before getting in touch.

    DPD Drop-off services

On 24/03 DPD announced that customers are no longer able to have parcels delivered to a DPD drop-off location. Please ensure that the delivery address you provide is not a drop-off location as your order will be returned to us.

    International deliveries

As the UK have now left the EU, our business is still navigating the latest guidelines and our shipping services to Europe. Because of this, we have unfortunately had to pause European orders. We are hoping we can resume shipping later in the year, I’m very sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

    Prioritising Food Safety

The NHS has stated that it is very unlikely that COVID-19 can be spread through food, but we are still taking additional precautions. To give you some reassurance, here is a little more on our food safety practices:

    Our Staff

  • Our staff is following frequent and thorough handwashing and hand sanitising. Additional hand sanitizer points have been added throughout the roastery.
  • Our staff has been instructed to self-isolate at the first sign of illness as per the government advice, including if family or housemates show symptoms.
  • All trips abroad have been cancelled and anyone returning from travels in risk areas is asked to follow the government advice on self-isolating.
  • Non-essential team members are now working remotely as a precautionary measure
  • The Coffee Roasting and Packaging Process

  • We are a BRC (certified by the British Retail Consortium) rated food production facility, following their food production standards
  • Coffee is ‘roasted’ at about 180'C, which kills all bacteria and all viruses, including C-19.
  • Thereafter the coffee isn't touched by people throughout the packing process. The coffee is virtually sterile, sealed in its pack and safe from contamination until you open it.
  • The virus doesn't survive long on dry/impervious surfaces, for example, the outside of our packs. Current evidence indicates the virus can normally survive on surfaces for less than one day. By the time our coffee reaches you, potential virus contamination on the outside of the pack would be dead. If you are worried about the very small possibility of contamination from the outside of the packs, please do remember that the packs are impermeable plastic laminates which can be wiped with hand sanitiser or antibacterial wipes before handling/opening.
  • Once you make your cup of coffee, boiling water is hot enough to kill any virus.
