Our coffee

All our coffees are of exceptional quality and are hand roasted in our London Roastery.

We pack our ready ground coffees in special heat sealed bags flushed with inert nitrogen gas, to protect each coffee's quality and fine flavours. Our hand packed, 200g whole bean and ground to order coffees are best enjoyed within four months of purchase, even when stored in a freezer.

Subscription services

CoffeeClub

We provide these for coffee fans to explore and enjoy our world of coffee. Our CoffeeClub subscriptions consist of a different coffee each week/fortnight/month selected based on choices you tell us. Please see the CoffeeClub website for further details.

Advance orders

Advance orders may be requested of up to a full calendar month through the website. For longer periods for advance orders e.g. to be delivered in 2 months time or more, please contact us direct to discuss. We cannot guarantee the availability of coffees due to seasonal variations. See Coffee Substitution below. 

Delivery

We aim to despatch all orders within 2 working days of receiving them. During peak online order periods (for instance, Christmas or other promotional activities), this timeframe may be extended slightly, although every effort will be made to despatch your order as soon as possible. 

All our coffees are roasted to order so we require at least one working day before we can despatch your order

 

UK

Standard delivery is charged at £2 per order (mainland UK)
For all orders over £15 (before delivery) or over 1KG in weight, delivery is FREE 

 

Convenient Delivery packaging

 

In an effort to reduce wasteful packaging and also make delivery more convenient for you. If your order is 2 x 200g bags of coffee or less your delivery will be sent in a box designed to fit through your letterbox. So you no longer need to wait in for your Union Coffee delivery.
N.B not all letterboxes are made equal. Our boxes are designed to meet the Royal Mail letterbox guidelines, sadly this doesn't cover all letterboxes. We've discovered that older houses can often have unusual dimensions and the box may not fit through.

 

Our Couriers

For all 1 & 2 x 200g Coffee Orders your delivery will be sent Tracked 48 Royal Mail
For all Orders of 3 x 200g, 1kg, accessories and gifts are sent recorded delivery via DPD

 

International

We are happy to deliver to international addresses. Orders need to be placed with a valid postcode/zipcode to allow our couriers to locate and quote for correct shipping cost.

Where goods are unavailable, or out of stock, Union Hand-Roasted Coffee will advise customers appropriately through the online shop or by email or phone where those have been provided with an order.
Re-orders of previous shipments can be done easily through the 'my account' section of the website. If one or more products is out of stock, the re-order link will not be visible. Please check individual products required, or select alternatives.

Our online shop no longer has a minimum transaction value.

Returns and refunds

If you are unsatisfied with the contents of your despatch you must contact us, either by telephone or email within 24 hours of receipt to inform us of your issue.

Union Hand-Roasted Coffee does not refund or exchange coffees, teas etc. if ordered incorrectly through our website.

Pricing

Prices are charged according to those published on the site on the day of purchase. Union Hand-Roasted Coffee reserves the right to alter prices to reflect changes in material costs. As our coffees are a food item, they are not VAT-chargeable.

Coffee substitution

Union Hand-Roasted Coffee enters into medium to long-term agreements with coffee farmers and producers. However, due to seasonal variations, some of our coffees may not be available or, for reasons out of our control, we may no longer be able to source coffees from a given farm, co-operative or origin. In these instances, we may choose to work with another producer from that origin, or, if we feel we cannot source a coffee of sufficient quality, not source from that origin at all.

Payment by cheque

We cannot accept payments made by cheque.

Statutory rights

Please note that nothing contained within these terms and conditions affects your right as a consumer.
