Fazenda de Mata (The Farm of the Forest) sits on the border of São Paulo and Minas Gerais in the Mogiana Mountains, up at 1200-1400 m.a.s.l - a high altitude for Brazil.
Farm owner, Senhor. Adonis, has worked closely with our longstanding partner, Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza, for the past two years producing high-quality natural and pulped coffees that he dries on his carefully tended raised beds and terraces.
Senhor Adonis has plans to build more raised beds and plant new varieties on the higher areas of the farm to increase coffee quality. He’s a leader in the region experimenting in regenerative agriculture and is expanding the Side-by-Side project to his neighbours which focuses on economic, social and environmental quality of coffee.
