Coffee Cream (Reinvented)
This one is oh so simple to make, and you will be glad you made the effort as it tastes better than any shop bought liqueur of a similar name (we all know which one).
So simple, but so good.

How to make it
- 1. Brew your coffee and leave it to cool in the fridge for 2 hours (I’m going to assume at this point you know how to make good coffee, but if not, check out our brew tips here)
- 2. Add the hot water to the icing sugar and stir to a paste
- 3. Add the whisky and cold coffee
- 4. Top up with the double cream
- 5. Give it a shake or a decent stir (depending on what vessel you’re using to prepare) with some ice to chill
- 6. Pour through a sieve and straight into your glass
- 7. Share your #unioncocktails
What you'll need
- 40ml of brewed coffee (any will do…as long as it’s Union!)
- 25g of icing sugar
- 5ml of hot water (just off the boil)
- 25ml of Whisky (any will do, but best to stick to a blend. You can usually find a relative who’s received a bottle as a Christmas gift).
- 20ml of double cream
- Ice
- A shaker or something to prepare the drink
- A strainer/sieve
- A glass for serving (a tumbler works well)
