More about this microlot
An elegant coffee that balances the sweetness of Brazil with the delicate fruitiness of natural processing. Enjoy notes of raisin, milk chocolate, and pecan.
Grown in the lush valley of Alto Jequitibá, on the edge of Caparaó National Park, this coffee is produced by a remarkable group of women farmers. It began with Josimar—known as Lalá—who inherited her family’s farm and worked tirelessly to raise four daughters while producing main-stream coffee.
However, with support from her neighbours, she shifted her focus to improving her coffee quality, and in 2016, FAFCoffees partnered with Lalá and her daughter Luana to guide them in crafting high-quality, specialty coffee. This approach enables her to increase her family income as well a benefit to the environment.
Now the 27-strong, women-led initiative, is committed to sustainable farming, water conservation, and knowledge-sharing.
Wind power transports this coffee by sail, which arrives in Europe faster and produces 90% less ocean pollution compared to conventional shipping. And by storage at 20 C in temperature regulated and ventilated holds, the green coffee also arrives in excellent condition for us to craft-roast for your enjoyment.
We are the home of fresh coffee. When you order online, your coffee is roasted fresh to order, especially for you. Plus, it’s specialty grade and traded ethically through Union Direct Trade.
